Friendship is one of the most powerful things there is in life

to have a true friend is one of the most amazing things

A friend is someone you can count on for anything

and they can also count on you

you can trust them with your life

and they can also trust you

each friend knowing the other will always be honest with them

you can go to a friend for any problem

 you may run into in your life

or you may have a friend that comes to you

 with a problem of their own

friends know exactly how to make you smile

even on your worst of days

 the sun will always shine when that true friend is near

friends always will have a time were they disagree

but true friends can always push past the issues they may have

and once again be the friends they were

if you are true friends you'll last,

 if not your friendship will only linger in the past. 

my best friend means the world to me

she knows everything i feel 

she knows my every weakness

and all the problems I've dealt with in my life

she understands my worries and my fears

and listens to my hopes and dreams

she listens to how i feel about life and lover,

and knows what it all means to me,

not once does she interrupt me

or tell me i'm wrong

she understands what i am going through 

and promises to forever be there

i reach out to her for anything

to show her i care 

or when i need to be cared for 

to pull her close and let her know 

just how important she is too me 

and how much i need her in my life

to tell her my secrets i wouldn't dare trust with anyone else 

but her
